The federal government is sponsoring a National Electronic Open Meeting to
encourage the general public to become more familiar with information-age
technology. For the next two weeks, anyone can log on at 362 public
libraries, schools, offices and stores nationwide to long on to electronic
discussion groups on "people and their government in the information age."

of papers outlining the need for library and computing staff to work
together on campus. The 102-page book is edited by Sheila Creth and Anne
