The City of Whittier, Whittier Public Library, has a part-time
temporary position available immediately for an archivist to fulfill the
requirements of our recently received California State Library Grant.
The archivist will be responsible for preservation of documents and
photos; creation of an index for local newspaper holdings;
development of a classification system for ephemeral materials and
photos; recruitment and training of volunteers to assist with the
project and ensure its continuation; development of training
manuals, written reports and summaries.

The individual selected must have experience and education
commensurate with the position.
