Oceanside Public Library would like your input.

We would be grateful if you would respond to the following questions by
March 12 if possible. Please e-mail your response directly to me,
although feel free to also respond to the listserv if you think that
others may be interested in the results. Please copy Bessie Tichauer of
the California State Library at:

btichaue@library.ca.gov

Bessie is finishing up an analysis of certain Internet policy issues
which involve childrens services, and will make the analysis available
to us when it is finished. Your input here will also be a useful
addition to her project as well as being of great help to Oceanside
Public Library.

Here are the questions:

Do you have Internet Stations in your Childrens Department?
If so, under what conditions? (age limitations, permission slips, with
parent only, with filtering, etc.)
What repercussions have you had from your policies and conditions? What
works? What doesn't?
We are especially interested in any unusual/uncomfortable incidents with
children using the Internet.

Please also reply if you have something of interest to share regarding
childrens' use of the Internet, even though the stations may not be
located in your Childrens Department.

If you would like copies of responses which may not have been posted to
IP-PUB, please let me know.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to supply us with some very
important feedback.
