U.S. Robotics modems

first-round Infopeople computers, this email caught my eye.
I did some checking - both at the site Dick listed in the email he forwarded
(see below) and also looked up, online, the PC World article. It's at:

I also took at look at the USRobotics site (http://www.usr.com)
The upshot is that the particular model we bought is not a problem, and, it
looks to me, from what the PC World article and the site cited below said -
the problem is not with the kind of connections most of us are making at our
public computers. Do check out the sites referred to, though.
