According to the recent study of Latinos Online, Latinos comprise 14% of the U.S. adult population but only about half of this growing group (56%) goes online. By comparison, 71% of non-Hispanic whites and 60% of non-Hispanic blacks use the Internet. Only 29% of Latino adults have a broadband Internet connection at home. Libraries can help bridge the gap in Latino Internet access and usage by providing group and individual instruction to the Spanish speaking community.
