Hardware
Infopeople and Califa have worked together with Dell, Gateway and Userful to create some excellent purchasing options for libraries receiving grant funds from the Gates Public Access Computer Hardware Upgrade Grant.
Each of the options featured at Califa include state of the art equipment including 1GB of RAM, 40-80GB of hard disk space, CD/DCD drives, easily accessible USB ports and excellent warranties and support contracts.
Califa member prices range from $1030 to $1450 per workstation so if you aren't yet a member, now might be the time to join.
Some of the workstation options include all the software you'll need, others will require that additional software be purchased. For that, we recommend checking out TechSoupStock.
To see the public access computer options available at Califa, members should browse the Products & Vendors area.
