Susan Kantor-Horning is the Emerging Technologies Library Specialist at the Contra Costa County Library in Pleasant Hill, California where she works on implementing and promoting technologies that focus on convenience and meeting the information needs of the community. Her accomplishments within the Library's Virtual Services Department include writing successful grant and award applications for projects such as Snap & Go and Discover & Go and participating in the My Info Quest collaborative text-a-librarian service.Susan has written articles about Contra Costa County Library's innovative technologies for Library Journal and Computers in Libraries and recently contributed a chapter on delivering and marketing library services through QR codes to the forthcoming book, The Handheld Library: Mobile Technology and the Librarian. Prior to her current position at Contra Costa County Library, she worked for Califa Library Group and the Oakland Public Library. She holds an M.L.I.S. from San Jose State University.
