Using iTunes for Podcasting
iTunes is a free download (www.apple.com/itunes/download/) from Apple and can be used to listen to music, watch videos, and also download and listen to podcasts. This page will give you a step-by-step look at how to subscribe to a podcast using iTunes version 7.x.
When you open iTunes, if you look on the left-hand side you will see the following:

To subscribe to a podcast, go to the Advanced menu and click Subscribe to Podcast:

Next, enter the URL for the podcast feed (http://ipweb.hipcast.com/rss/infopeople_podcasts.xml) in the box:

When you first subscribe, a new folder will be created and you will see a list of all the podcasts (if you don't make sure that the arrow to the left of Infopeople Podcasts is pointing DOWN, not to the right):

Just click the GET button to the right of any episode title and iTunes will start downloading that podcast. When an episode is downloading you will see an orange spinning circle to the left of the episode's title. When the episode has completed downloading, the spinning circle becomes a blue dot. Please note: the longer the episode, the longer the download may take (depending on the speed of your Internet connection), so be patient!
Once the podcast is in iTunes, you can play it from within iTunes, or if you have an iPod you can copy it to the iPod and play it from there.
By default after you subscribe to a podcast when you first start iTunes it will automatically check for new podcasts. But to force it to see if there are new episodes of a podcast, click on the Refresh button in the lower right corner of the iTunes window:

You can also access a directory of podcasts in iTunes. Look at the bottom of the iTunes window. You will see the words Podcast Directory and a little arrow:

If you click the Podcast Directory link, you will go to a page that will have links to lots of podcasts (all of the small images are links):

Once you click on a program's graphic, you can subscribe, or get, an episode or podcast by clicking GET EPISODE:

To unsubscribe to a podcast, click on its name in the main window then click the Unsubscribe button in the lower left corner of the iTunes window:
