Since 2008, Stanley has been the Webinar Coordinator for Infopeople. The year before, he retired after working 23 years at the Cerritos Library, Cerritos, California, in a variety of positions, including Head of Children's Services, Public Services Librarian, and Administrative Services Manager. Before joining the Cerritos staff he was Children’s Librarian and Reference Librarian at the Ontario (CA) Library.
As a member of the four-person Cerritos Library Expansion Planning Team his major responsibility included analyzing, designing and implementing all services for the "library of the future," which opened in March 2002.
At Cerritos he created a special collection of artists’ book, The Art of the Book: the Book as Art, eventually growing to over 200 works. His involvement with the collection sparked an interest in making his own artists’ books, and in 2007 he founded Burning Bridges Press (http://www.burningpridgespress.com). In 2009, he served as the sole juror for the 7th Biennial Artists Books Juried Exhibition sponsored by The Anthenaeum in La Jolla.
