Classroom Location
Enter building on I Street. You may not enter through the staff door in the alley. The meeting will be either in the East or West Meeting Room of the Galleria.
Parking
The Parking structure attached to the library is most convenient, it is also increasingly expensive ( over $20 a day). Two alternatives are within a block. There is an open lot used for (but not limited to) Jury parking directly to the west of the library. You choose how many hours at $1.25 per half hour (15 dollars max); print out your receipt and leave it on your dash. Enter on 7th just south of I Street. Students coming from the freeway on J Street would have to go around the block for this one. (J>8th >I> 7th)
There is also early bird parking at the garage on J (Enter on from the right lane after 7th and just before 8th). It is only $12 a day.
All street parking is metered.
Eating
Plenty of fast-food restaurants nearby. There is a park across the street from the library (between 9th and 10th) which is a lovely place to eat a sack lunch except in very bad weather.
Driving Directions
From the North: Take the I-5 S. Take the J STREET exit towards DOWNTOWN. Merge onto J ST. Turn LEFT onto 10TH ST. Turn LEFT onto I ST. To use the parking garage , turn LEFT into the alley between 8th and 9th.
From the South: Take the I-5 N. Take the J STREET exit towards DOWNTOWN. Merge onto J ST. Turn LEFT onto 10TH ST. Turn LEFT onto I ST. To use the parking garage , turn LEFT into the alley between 8th and 9th.
