Now that PDAs (personal digital assistants, e.g., Palms, Pocket PCs, Smartphones) and other mobile devices have become commonplace, more and more library users expect to use their PDAs to access library services. Are you ready to meet this new demand? This webcast will explain basic PDA features and offer a wealth of ideas for providing wireless services to PDA users in all types of libraries. Real life examples of libraries that are currently providing successful high-level services—including PDA content, PDA-friendly web pages and OPACs, and circulating PDAs—will be highlighted. This webcast will also explore ways for library staff to integrate PDAs into their own day-to-day operations, such as point-of-service reference, and inventory via PDA. You'll learn everything you need to know to get started using this convenient new technology.

Webinars are free of charge and registration is only done on the day of the event on the WebEx server. No passwords are required.
