Tips for Working with Your Board
Monday, November 28, 2005
As a new public library director, are you anxious to establish a good working relationship with your board? Are you a new library board member, determined to make a contribution to your library and your community? This webcast will give you ideas for communicating effectively—both formally and informally—among the board and between board and director. We'll also describe the five major areas of the board's responsibility, along with tips and tools directors and board members can use in addressing each area productively. Finally, we will talk about emerging new responsibilities that library boards and directors face in the world of rapidly-changing technology, increasing customer expectations, and shrinking funding. You'll leave the webcast with tools and strategies, along with some real-life stories from a public library board member.
Webinars are free of charge and registration is only done on the day of the event on the WebEx server. No passwords are required.
