Janine Liebert joined the LA Law Library in 2009 as a reference librarian overseeing library services for self-represented litigants. In her current position within the Programs & Partnership team at the LA Law Library, Janine's focus has been on helping public librarians play a larger role in responding to the legal information needs of the general public. Responding to this need, Janine has facilitated collaborations between legal aid and public libraries to connect customers with reliable legal information and resources in a trusted setting. Through these partnerships, the LA Law Library and legal aid partners continue to identify common legal issues and jointly bring public information and staff development programs as well as clinics to public libraries throughout Los Angeles County.Janine holds an undergraduate degree from Amherst College in Massachusetts, a master’s degree from St. John’s College in New Mexico and an MLIS from UCLA.
